I had written a previous article on some of George Clooney’s relationships. I thought it might be interesting to do a follow up article on additional relationships he has had.
George Clooney has a long running bet with Nichole Kidman and Michelle Phieffer that he’ll never remarry. He dated Talia Balsam for five years then married her from 1989-1993. He then said he wouldn’t repeat that.
His pet pig, Max, a Vietnamese Potbellied pig, lived with him from 1988-2006. They are the only two exceptions to George Clooney not having any long term relationships that aren’t family. He got Max for Kelley Preston in 1988 when they were dating from 1987-1989, which makes him his longest relationship by nine years.
His other well-known relationships include Dedee Pfeiffer, Michelle’s sister, early 1980’s, Denise Crosby, 1990’s, Elizabeth Daily, 1993, Karen Duffy and Kimberly Russell in 1995, Vendela Kirsebom, 1996, Celine Balitran, 1996-1999, Brooke Langdon, 1999, Traylor Howard, Charlize Theron, Julia Roberts and Lucy Liu in 2000, Lisa Snowden, 2000-2001 and 2004-2006, Renee Zellweger , 2001, Mariella Frostrup and Jennifer Siebel in 2002, Krista Allen, 2002-2004, 2006 and 2008, Teri Hatcher, 2006, Sarah Larson, 2006-2009, Elisabetta Canalis, 2009-2011 and currently Stacy Keibler since 2011.
Many of us can name off our previous relationships in one breath including the dates. But I’m not sure that you can do that with George’s ever-growing list.
There are other women he has managed to date either before, during or after some of these whom are already listed. Here is the list, although I don’t know whether it’s complete or not:
Ginger Lynn, Janet Jackson, Laura Bailey, Salma Hayek, Hillary Rowland, Ellen Barkin, Anna Friel, Cerlette Lamme, Lara Larson, Martine McCutcheon and Judie Aronson.
George’s current relationship with Stacy Keibler, an ex-professional wrestler, is a departure from his usual choices for companionship. He usually chooses actresses, models, waitresses or media personalities. It’s understood that they may have moved in together, but considering his track record it will be interesting to see how long this relationship might last.
I’m not sure that it’s just the marriage issue that he is shying away from since marriage is considered optional these days in celebrity circles. He and whichever of his favorite dates he chooses could become a permanent item without the legal documentation. Perhaps it’s the long term relationship that he is having difficulty with. Perhaps he’s concerned about getting too close and falling into marriage.
But then perhaps, George ought to get a second Max the pig since he does seem to do better with a long term pet.
