Made for 1/100th the cost of the James Cromwell movie, Resurrection of Serious Rogers presents itself as a microbudget version of Salt meets Hanna meets old school favorite, The Fugitive.

Resurrection of Serious Rogers stars Cooper Harris of the sci-fi international cult hits, MegaShark vs Giant Octopus and Meteor Apocalypse . The film also stars Mercedes Manning of the hit web series Final Witness and Strickly Sexual. The film’s tagline is: An assassin looking for redemption. A drug addicted FBI agent out for justice. A hero on a quest for. revenge. A nanny caught in the crossfire. And the Mystery Man who controls their fate. Synopsis: A cold-blooded assassin turns reckless and emotional upheaval leads her to spare the life of the victim she’s been contracted to kill. The film has had interest from distributors from the UK, Canada and the US but the because of the economy nothing was fair or favorable.
Torrent controversy regarding illegal downloads aside, conventional wisdom would suggest that a microbudget film would be drowned out when forced to compete with the download of multi-million dollar movies. However the opposite appears to be true. Fans tend to rally around the “little guy” in support of diy independent film proving that there doesn’t have to be a direct link between budget and craftsmanship.
Indie films have to be solid when distributed via torrent sites. While production values won’t quite match, other aspects of the film must be on point such as believable characters, fresh dialog and a compelling story. If Resurrection of Serious Rogers survives the litmus test, it may do very well.
Angelo believes that more important that many is viewership. “If every viewer who downloads the movie donates $1.00 I’d have more than enough money to reward every cast & crew member, be paid for my time (writing, directing and producing) and I could make the sequel, which I’ve already outlined in my head.”
